Grateful indeed! GOD, GRUB, GIVING and GAMES! (Friday, November 16, 2007)

MiDs Grub

Gathering at the East side , our MiDs and their middle school -aged friends focused their hearts on gratitude!! Being grateful for God, His blessings, and one another was the natural theme as these 35 middle schoolers enjoyed food and fellowship during their CHICKEN Thanksgiving event -- with ALL the fixins!!

Our MiDs laughed – and sighed -- as they learned about each other during a game called "I NEVER... " . They learned even more through a devotional focused on finding the GOOD and GOD in situations, people, and/or circumstances that on the surface may seem unpleasant at first glance .

And finally, each MiD selected a Kenyan Middle schooler to write to! Pen Pals!! Each MiD shared an encouraging scripture with their Kenyan pen pal along with personal flair – artwork, photos, interests, thoughts and prayers .

God, Grub, Giving and Games

It was an evening of giving a little more of themselves for those around the table – and around the world!

Ephesians 1v 16-17

I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers.

I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of Wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.
