Through the eyes of genuine innocence and with a heart of simple faith and trust like that of a little child’s, truly a childlike person, if only for a brief moment, may stand at Heaven’s gate and look into the eyes of Jesus, our Savior, Lord and King.Where the world often diminishes the role of young children and in turn pushes them away from the focal point of family and community relationship building, Jesus breaks with tradition and gathers young children to his presence in public sight and reminds all people, in all ages: “Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like little children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever then humbles himself as this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 18:3-4, NASB).“ |

Each Sunday 50-200 children ages 3 months to middle school age are served during the regular worship service. There are 40-50 teachers providing the love and guidance Jesus requires. The roles of service include teacher, usher and bathroom monitor. In order to qualify for any of these roles, one must be a member of Triangle Church for at least 6 months. There is a screening process designed to protect the children and the teacher. Teaching rotations are on a 4-month basis: January to April, May to August and September to December. Interested volunteers are requested to contact Cathleen Williams at least 2 months before the desired rotation begins.

The West Youth meet each Sunday and at various times and places during the week. Congregational and Youth worship takes place in the Main Building, Education Building, and Ancillary Facility beginning promptly at 10:00 A.M. Members, Guests and Visitors are encouraged to register their children, in their specific classes, promptly between 9:30 and 9:50 A.M. Our youth ministry workers adhere to sign-in and sign-out protocols that help ensure child safety, facility and child security. Our youth education coordinators, supervisors, lead teachers and their assistants, those who prepare and distribute snacks, our ushers and ministers join hands in a unified effort to plan, prepare and maintain a wholesome, family-friendly, Christ-focused learning environment for children and adults.
The Children’s Ministry is set up in the nearby education building, another nearby ancillary facility, and in the rear conference rooms of the Main Building, to serve ages 3 months to fifth grade. A Special Resources Class for children with special needs meets in the Main Building, near the foyer, where professional pre-school and elementary-level career teachers and their trained assistants see to the developmental, curricular and special needs of the children. Weekly attendance in Children’s Ministry classes ranges from about 80 to 120 children, plus a teacher corps of about 45 to 65 adult members and teenagers of Triangle Church. Class numbers are kept small, and conducted within a framework of a high teacher-per-child ratio, to keep the firsthand experience of relationship building through love, respect, a Bible-centered curriculum and discovery-learning uplifting and supportive.
