 On Sunday, November 19th, Triangle Church hosted over 700 women to celebrate their lives as women. The Women’s Day theme, Extreme Makeover - God's Edition, focused on where women were in their lives when they became Christians and how the word of God and godly women helped reshape and reinvigorate their lives.

The Journey Begins! We (the Overturfs and Perkins) left Raleigh on Friday, June 23rd, 2006 on our adventure to Nairobi, Kenya. We left town in a 15-passenger van pulling a trailer behind that was filled with 20 suitcases/boxes. Paul Abernethy volunteered to drive us to Washington, D.C. We left Dulles around 6:30 p.m. on British Airways, a 747, and arrived in London at 6:40 a.m. After a few hours at Heathrow, we were loaded onto a BA 777 and were taking off for Kenya. We landed at 8:40 p.m. Saturday and were met by 20 or 30 smiling, hugging disciples. Amy and I were presented with an armload of roses. I cried, of course! We were taken to the Heron Hotel to get a shower and some rest! It was my first experience sleeping under a net! |

 On January 20, 2006, approximately 30 women came together for fun, food and competition. Classes in yoga, football, make-up, scrapbooking, crocheting and baking were offered as an odd assortment of classes with something for everyone. Yoga and crocheting classes were in high demand. Symone Jones, one of our teens, taught the crocheting class. Bren Schnable led the yoga class to rave reviews. Other teachers included Joyce Duell, Jan Mitchell, Penny Jones and Janet Vandeberg.
